Citizen Gumshoe
Description:
Have you got an eye for the mysterious?
The Internet lets citizens play an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information. Citizen journalism is changing our understanding of current events and news. CBC invites you to take pictures of news worthy events with your cell phone or digital camera and post them to their web site along with a description. Bloggers and podcasters are presenting alternative perspectives to mainstream media.
This weeks audience challenge invites you to take a picture of something mysterious and submit it to Dare2BDigital with a description, 250 words or less.
Think you got the smarts to be a detective? Engage and entice audience members to comment on and interpret your mystery.

Quick Questions
Hi Friz_b:
Good questions.
We're primarily looking for a sense of mystery so feel free to edit your photo in an image editing program to creatively accentuate (or manufacture) mystery.
The description does not have to describe the picture. What we are hoping for is a description that describes the mystery of the image and encourages the audience to comment on it.

Some Questions
Hello,
I also have questions regarding the photo submission:
May filters be used when taking the photo? Or would it be too "enhanced"?
Also, as a confirmation, does the picture have to be taken from a camera, or can it be from another source (eg. generated by computer)?
Thanks in advance!

Some Questions
Hi w-fan:
Filters are welcome. Enhancing is fine. We're not looking for photo realism.
Photo can be from any source so if you want to submit something generated by computer we're up for it - all part of being digital!

Thanks for the quick answers!
This challenge is rather interesting so I wanted to make sure I didn't be disqualified if I overlooked something.

My submission
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to point out my thread over in the forums about the audience challenge. I had trouble uploading my picture and wasn't able to upload it before the 8:00pm deadline.
I spent quite a bit of time putting it together, I would really appreciate it if you would consider my late submission >.<

Quick questions
Hello everybody!
I was just wondering: for the photo submission, are we allowed to edit the photo in an image editing program? Or do we have to submit it in its original form? Also, does the description have to describe the picture? Or can it be abstract and indirect?
Thanks!!
