Hmmm... I wonder if we did

Hmmm... I wonder if we did this challenge right. xD

I hope that this project will come to life in the future. ^^

Beautiful visuals once

Beautiful visuals once again! Your idea of sound vibrations is something I've never heard of before.

Do you think similar effects could be attained if someone were to turn up the bass on their speakers up really high (and strategically positioned their subwoofer of course)?

This would be fantastic if

This would be fantastic if it were implemented!

Also, don't worry if you did the challenge right or not. The guidelines were somewhat ambiguous, and I think you guys just had a creative approach.

Noise Canceling Headsets

This is a fascinating proposal and looks like a value added experience for the hearing impaired and unimpaired alike.

I presume the headsets are noise canceling so the viewers can watch a movie and not be distracted by, talking parrots, for example.

attractive but.... simulation???

As always, Dattebayo, your use of visuals is exemplary & this extended pdf was a pleasure to look at. Nevertheless, I didn't see any evidence of you having carried out a simulation activity (which is clearly specified in the challenge criteria). Your modified theatre could meet the needs of participants with both normal hearing & no hearing but I thought you could have better highlighted the potential for accommodating a continuum of functioning. You include no references & (I hate to harp on this) once again your written English would have benefitted from an editor.

You did gain points for your attempts to generate dialogue!

Unfortunately, we have been

Unfortunately, we have been bogged down with school projects for the past month, so we have been a bit sloppy with the editing. Thank you for your comments!

I think next time, there

I think next time, there should be a judge who can read and write Chinese and/or Japanese. French too, while we're at it! That would be universal design, wouldn't it? :)

I loved the incorporation of 3D design in this challenge. Did you use Maya? It made me happy. (Designing video games for d2bd II? Oh, I think so!) A great concept piece.

Dattebayo, you are so

Dattebayo, you are so talented with graphic design. Your projects are always beautiful.

Bad Vibrations.

To answer your question Clariss: No, I don't think you did. :)

As cool as that theatre system would be (I'd be the first in line to watch the new Indiana Jones movie there on May 22), this group seemed to miss the mark on this submission.

Indeed, the design and layout of the .ppt were highly professional. This group has great visual design talent, and has consistently put it to good use throughout these challenges. The content, however, just didn't fit the bill.

Too bad, too, since there was some good lively discussion and insight generated in the forums.

On a Different Wavelength

My spidey senses just didn't tingle on this one...though they tickled a bit. As others have noted, you continue to demonstrate strong graphic abilities a knack for making your work look professional, but I think you could have taken this further. The lack of a sim description hurt you the most.

You might want to consider a patent on your theatre design, though!
