Agreed. The most frustrating
Agreed. The most frustrating part of the competition is the scoring.

QFT. (Quote for truth).
I'd also like an idea as to how we were judged. Also, I still am not sure as to how the audience votes work, as in how much of it goes towards our final score. It was stated in the beginning as 15% then 10% and so forth, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

Also knowing the number of audience votes would be interesting, namely so we know just how many people enjoyed the competition. Is is a matter of half a dozen, or hundreds?

Consider doing it at the begining of a semester, instead of halfway though. This way you avoid a good slug of midterms and prep for finals, and get better quality entires as a result. And happy, stress free contestants!

Definitely. But I guess it depends on academic schedules and the like. Not every institution has the same scheduling.

Agreed. I know that our team was definitely bogged down by school projects, and The TRU Digital Pack doesn't even have time to enter the challenges anymore. Also, entries for the contest seemed to be delayed a lot too, maybe next time more people will know about it and submit earlier?

We didn't find out about the competition until after the deadline had been extended in January. In fact, we found out on the 29th and had to submit by the 31st. Maybe our universities didn't push it as much as they should have?

Come to think of it, I have
Come to think of it, I have something to mention that's been bugging me a little. As mentioned in forums during Week Two (and in the official rules), copyright material is against the competition guidelines; we have made sure to always use our own material, Creative Commons, or receive permissions for any material used in our submissions. But some of the teams didn't, and there didn't seem to be a lot of criticism against that.
Were judges marking down because of this? If so, I think it would have been important to mention it to the teams in order to bring awareness. Do it once, shame on you. Do it twice, you're going to get a bad mark. If judges weren't marking down on this, doesn't that just propagate the problem? What's the point of doing a little bit extra work to find copyright free materials if no repercussions were taken?
Can I have a little light shed on this?

Scoring
It would be nice for each team to get some kind of score card at the end of each challenge with an average of their scores for each portion of the challenge that is judged (whew, long sentence!).
That way, teams will have a more concrete idea of their stengths and weaknesses.
