Hee

It looks so professional! Well done, guys. I like.
And really good ads, heh. Those made me smirk a little.

and thanks to Fred!

Once special thanks we've missed, I'd like to send out a HUGE thank you to Fred Beinhauer for being my personal guide on a Salal hunt. Could never have gotten all those pictures or had the opportunity to try Salal-tea (ugh) firsthand without him. Again, thanks so much Fred!

Also...

Thanks to Ash for taking the tea-drinking video because Fraser couldn't make the camera behave, and I was passed out from Nyquil overload.

The interactive portion of

The interactive portion of your presentation and your ads made me laugh. Have you ever tried Labrador tea? I would say that's an acquired taste also. :)
If your entrepreneurial callings ever get the better of you, the bog I work at has plenty of salal (that's killing everything else) that you could make those Nature Valley bars from. I'd want to try them!

Less is more.

The layout was striking and the design choices looked very professional -- I especially liked the suitability of the font and the warm green highlighted state of the text (though, I probably wouldn't have left- and right-justified the paragraph blocks, depending on their positioning). Beautiful photos, too.

The video came across as very sincere, and it quickly/efficiently made the point (that only Buckley's cough syrup tastes worse than Salal). Maybe I'll try some on my pancakes this morning...

Brave tea drinker!

Great presentation style. The facts about the salal industry were startling. I'm glad no lives were lost during the making of this submission. ;)

Survivor Style

Thank you! I'd had a vague idea about the salal industry before, but the details surprised me too. And I have to say I'm pretty happy to still be breathing oxygen myself =D

Broken record

[I don't know what happened to my original comments about this presentation! My post seems to have... disappeared. Oh well... here goes again.]

League of Notions, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, let me tell you how much I loved your presentation. Your overall design was beautiful, you had clean, inviting layout, strong organization & simple navigation. The videos were perfect: sort of a CBC news story format but more down-to-earth. I watched the whole thing twice just to see the tea drinker say 'disgusting'!!! Interesting little factoid about salal being the 2nd most profitable non-timber plant in the forest.

It's a bit challenging to do the constructive criticism job but here goes: the videos & audio players took a few moments to load for me (maybe a browser issue, who knows) so I was a bit confused & trying to find embedded multimedia even on slides without them. Maybe include a tiny note to let your reader know that a multimedia file is loading? Your audio file was ok but I found the background noise somewhat distracting. Some sort of ending or summary slide would have tied things together and/or provided closure. Little things; not much to pick at here.

One last thing: I really appreciate how hard your team works to participate fully. You post regularly & you're quick to respond to others. I give you bonus points for engagement.
